EquipmentShare is seeking a motivated and talented Software Engineering Intern to join our dynamic team at our Home Office in Columbia, MO for the summer of 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for students who are eager to gain hands-on experience in the field of software engineering and contribute to innovative projects that drive the construction industry forward.
Responsibilities
As a Software Engineering Intern, you will have the opportunity to:
- Work closely with our engineering team to create and establish processes and work on specific projects.
- Engage in research and planning for new projects, including budgeting and developing support materials.
- Participate in backend development using Python to build and maintain RESTful APIs or microservices with frameworks like Flask or Django.
- Contribute to frontend development using Next.js and TypeScript to create dynamic, responsive user interfaces with server-side rendering and static site generation.
- Utilize AWS services to deploy applications, manage databases, and handle serverless functions.
About You
We are looking for students who are:
- Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in a related field at a US accredited college or university.
- Maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Experienced with SQL, JavaScript, and Python.
- Strong in written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in writing and editing documentation.
- Highly organized with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office products and G-Suite.
- Professional, enthusiastic, and friendly.
- Flexible and adaptable to change.
