Role Overview
Join Semrush as a Data Platform Engineering Team Lead and embark on a journey to enhance our digital marketing platform. This role involves leading a team of Data Engineers and QA Engineers to maintain and improve various aspects of our data architecture and cloud infrastructure. You will be responsible for creating data architecture strategies, improving incident management, and developing and deploying Infrastructure as Code (IaaC) using Terraform.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership of the data engineering and QA team
- Development of data architecture strategy
- Improvement of incident management processes
- Creation and management of CI/CD pipelines in GitLab
- Design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines using BigQuery, Airflow, and dbt
- Monitoring and troubleshooting of cloud infrastructure and data workflows
- Implementation of data models and optimization of data storage and retrieval processes
- Migration of data infrastructure from legacy to contemporary solutions
- Development and maintenance of ML/AI ecosystem
- Conducting code reviews and collaborating with other teams to deliver data solutions
Who We Are Looking For
- Experience with Terraform, GitLab, SQL, Java, Python, Airflow, dbt, Grafana, Opsginie, Slack, Jira, Confluence, and Kubernetes
- Strong project management skills and ability to deliver end-to-end value of data projects
- Strategic thinking and excellent problem-solving skills
- Proactiveness and readiness to make decisions with minimal micromanagement
