Front End Developer with TypeScript and React

Join Our Team as a Front End Developer

The Critical Mass technology team is seeking an inspired, motivated, and experienced Front End Developer to join our dynamic team. As an experience design agency, we focus on the customer, which means that multi-discipline collaboration and prototyping are at the heart of our process. We leverage the latest technologies, including React, ES6 JavaScript, and a clean component-based approach, to deliver reusable, innovative, and responsive experiences. Web performance and accessibility are key concerns due to their importance to user experience and the perception of a premium experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Design and UX teams to prototype user interactions.
• Ensure compatibility of code across devices and viewport sizes.
• Assess and optimize page performance and WCAG compliance.
• Work with the delivery team to ensure the overall quality of the experience, supported by tests and documentation.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience using Vanilla JavaScript.
• 2+ years of experience with React.js and TypeScript.
• Proficiency in HTML5 semantic markup, CSS3, and CSS & SVG-based animation on responsive consumer-facing websites.
• Full command of Git, the terminal, continuous deployment and integration, and other modern fundamentals.
• Strong troubleshooting ability and technical analysis skills, including web performance optimization.
• Familiarity with website operations and fluency in the typical tiers of a high-traffic website.
• Experience with the Atlassian suite of tools, including JIRA, Bitbucket, and Confluence.
• WCAG accessibility experience is preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) version 6.3 or later, or enterprise CMS.
• Experience with GraphQL or APIs with complex data structures.
• Experience with Next.js and Webpack, or other tools used to optimize and maintain front-end build systems.
• Experience working in an agency environment.
