About the Role

Rhombus is looking for a Senior Frontend Software Engineer who will focus on building the most complex features in the web/React project while managing the technical aspects of the cross-platform project (both web and mobile).

Responsibilities

Coordinate code sharing between web (React) and mobile (React Native) development.
Configure web build tools like Gatsby & Webpack.
Keep the frontend build running smoothly.
Maintain the frontend tests that run after the build and before release.
Review pull requests to maintain code quality.
Analyze React performance to keep the product snappy.
Choose the libraries (npm packages) that are best suited to this project, and plan migrations to new libraries when necessary.

Requirements

5+ years of frontend (mostly web) development experience.
Mastery of TypeScript and React.
Experience with Git flow, including branching, merging, and rebasing.
Great communication skills.
Ideally, experience with React Native as well.

Location

This is an onsite position based in Sacramento, CA. Candidates must be able to commute to the office 2-3 times a week.

Compensation

Base Salary: $110,000 - $140,000
Additional forms of compensation, depending on the role, include sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and equity in the company. Individual pay is determined based on the candidate's primary work/hiring location and additional factors, such as skills and experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. Further details about compensation for the role can be discussed during the interview process.
