About the Role
As a Frontend Engineer in the Online Store tribe at SumUp, you will play a pivotal role in developing and enhancing our Online Store editor. This position involves contributing to our product roadmap and driving key initiatives forward. If you have experience building reliable, secure, and user-friendly web applications using React.js, we’d love for you to join our team. You'll have the opportunity to work on web applications that reach millions of users globally, empowering merchants around the world to achieve even greater success.
Key Responsibilities
- Simplify and enhance the usability of our products, making them accessible and easy to use for merchants and their customers worldwide.
- Actively engage in quarterly and sprint planning sessions, providing insightful feedback and accurate estimations to ensure successful project execution.
- Play a key role in making informed technical decisions that drive our projects forward.
- Develop features according to specified requirements, focusing on optimizing team productivity and ensuring high-quality outcomes.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of commercial professional experience working as a frontend developer.
- Demonstrable experience building ReactJS (TypeScript) web applications.
- Experience with modern front-end build systems.
- Experience in consuming data from REST APIs.
- Knowledge and understanding of modern software design patterns.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in working with NextJS, state management libraries like Zustand, design system and UI components library.
- Knowledge of accessibility and SEO.
- Previous experience in working with a multi-location company.
- Ability to work with template engines.
