Your Responsibilities

• Working in an empowered agile team, participating in agile ceremonies and working closely with all product disciplines (product, engineering, data, and UX) to create requirements, solve business needs, and deliver customer impact.
• Develop and maintain modern frontend web applications and cloud-hosted backend services, with involvement in DevOps practices such as observability, monitoring, and infrastructure as code.
• Developing high-quality code and applying software best practices like test automation, CI/CD, pair programming, and pull request reviews.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of our coding standards, experimenting with new technology, and participating in knowledge sharing.

Your Desired Skills

• Experience in building web applications (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• React frontend framework and Typescript
• Test automation (Jest, Cypress)
• Experience in designing and building APIs using Node and GCP
• Using GitHub, GitHub Actions
• Worked in agile ways of working (Scrum, Kanban)
• Worked with or interest in IaC/Terraform, DevOps, Observability, and monitoring

Our Team Within IKEA

Our team is in the Physical Customer Meeting Points domain. We focus on building the future shopping experience in the store with digital touchpoints. We love to work closely and have a positive impact on our customers worldwide in their shopping journey in the store.

We build SPAs and microservices in the cloud, that are used for the self-service screens in the stores worldwide. We work with a DevOps mindset, in cross-functional product teams. We always focus on delivering value in small increments with continuous deployments. We listen to feedback, measure with data, and continuously improve.

You will be part of the development of frontend and backend services with best practices, test automation, and CI/CD pipelines. Depending on the interest, you will focus more on either the backend or frontend. Part of our work is also prototyping new ideas, both individually and across teams (we love prototyping and MVP!). We value sharing sessions and pair programming for learning.
