About the Role

We are seeking talented Full Stack Engineers to join our dynamic teams in Amsterdam. You will be part of a global e-commerce company, tackling some of the world's most sophisticated e-commerce challenges. Our teams are diverse, and we are looking for engineers across multiple business units, including Marketplace, ABU, and Trips.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and Implement Features: Collaborate with UX Designers, Data Scientists, and other Developers to design and implement end-to-end product features.
• Evaluate and Innovate: Assess customer needs and propose ideal solutions using various languages such as Perl, Java, JavaScript, Python, and more.
• Develop Scalable Systems: Rapidly develop next-generation scalable, flexible, and high-performance systems with end-to-end ownership.
• Continuous Learning: Apply modern development methodologies and tools to continuously improve.
• Deploy and Maintain: Ensure software is deployed and maintained in production environments.
• Propose Improvements: Actively propose ideas to reduce technical debt and enhance business impact.

Qualifications

• Experience: Proven experience in a relevant role, preferably in a commercial environment.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in at least one server-side programming language (e.g., Perl, Java, Python, Scala, C++) and modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Angular).
• Database Knowledge: Experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
• Front-End Expertise: Strong understanding of core front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS).
• Additional Skills: Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and GraphQL is a plus.
• Communication: Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
