FullStack Engineer - SmartBear Platform Services

About the Role

As a FullStack Engineer at SmartBear, you will be part of a dynamic team working on the SmartBear Platform Services. This role involves building new features and enhancing the efficiency and reliability of existing services. You will collaborate with internal teams globally to develop the next generation of interconnected SmartBear applications and services.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Development: Contribute to the evolution of the SmartBear Platform architecture from both functional and operational perspectives.
Technical Collaboration: Engage in technical discussions and requirements analysis with internal partners to align with product needs.
Code Quality: Drive high engineering standards by participating in peer design and code reviews, and refinement sessions.
Team Collaboration: Work with developers, testers, UX designers, and product managers across different locations to deliver centralized "Platform" services.

Required Skills

Programming Languages: Proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, React, and JavaScript.
Database Management: Experience with relational databases.
CI/CD: Experience in driving automation and quality through CI/CD pipelines.
Cloud Services: Experience with high-volume SaaS applications on AWS.
API Design: Proficient in synchronous and asynchronous API design.
Communication: Strong English written and verbal communication skills at a B2 level or higher.

Preferred Skills

Java Ecosystem: Experience with Java, Next.js, and Nest.js.
Event-Driven Architecture: Experience with event streaming systems like Kafka, Active MQ, or EventBridge.
DevOps Tools: Familiarity with Helm, Kubernetes, and Docker.
Security: Knowledge in security engineering and OWASP.
