About the Role
As a Senior DevOps Engineer at SmartBear, you will join a global team of engineers located in Poland, India, and the United States. This role is pivotal in designing, building, and maintaining key infrastructure that is observable, stable, and performant. You will modernize build processes using best-in-class CI/CD practices and automate and implement scalable, highly available applications on major public cloud environments like AWS, GCP, and Azure.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with development, product, and support teams to design scalable, highly available, and maintainable application infrastructure.
- Help stakeholders understand the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of their solutions.
- Own critical CI/CD workflows (GitHub Actions, Jenkins), and enable teams to leverage automation and AI to improve development outcomes.
- Implement code, automation tools, custom tools, and scripts as necessary to evolve systems and processes.
- Document existing systems and processes for review by internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or similar role.
- Experience with major public cloud environments, particularly AWS. GCP or Azure a plus.
- Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).
- Strong networking skills and experience with multi-region and cross-account connectivity.
- Extensive experience with CI/CD systems, particularly GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
- Comfortable with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform and Ansible).
- Familiarity with cloud security, access management, and IAM best-practices.
- Experience with scripting languages, like Python, bash.
- Strong experience in Linux/Unix systems.
- Experience with SonarQube, Nexus, Zabbix, or Grafana a plus.
- Familiarity with Javascript, Java, C/C++, makefiles, or Delphi a plus.
