Your Role
As a Game Backend Developer, you will:
- Collaborate closely with game and math designers to resolve technical points according to specifications.
- Implement game mathematics and create unit tests to maintain the Java codebase.
- Develop server-side components of gaming applications.
- Communicate effectively with key stakeholders, including game designers, testers, and other developers.
- Prepare game mathematics for release and provide comprehensive release documentation.
- Investigate issues, fix bugs, and handle customer requests and incidents.
- Review colleagues’ code to ensure high-quality standards.
What We Expect
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or a related technical field.
- Strong understanding of applied mathematics, including probability theory, statistics, numerical methods, and linear algebra.
- 2+ years of experience in high-level OOP language development (Java/C#).
- Experience in game math development and gambling (slot machines).
- Proficiency in algorithms, data structures, and SOLID principles of object-oriented design.
- Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD, and databases (MySQL is a plus).
- Knowledge of software engineering practices (SOLID, DRY, YAGNI, KISS).
- Experience with JIRA, Wiki, and Confluence is a plus.
