Senior Java Backend Developer
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java Backend Developer to join our dynamic team in the Katowice Metropolitan Area. As a Senior Java Backend Developer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our digital platform, ensuring its reliability, scalability, and compliance with risk standards. You will work closely with feature teams to enable them to realize their loan origination journey via our Commercial Loan Origination (CLO) platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance the platform to ensure risk compliance and application reliability.
- Collaborate with feature teams to enable their loan origination journey.
- Design and develop RESTful APIs with a focus on secure and clean coding practices.
- Utilize your architectural experience to contribute to the design and development of cloud-native applications.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline development processes.
- Work in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Required Skills and Experience
- Java 17: 7+ years of experience in Java development.
- Spring Boot and Spring Framework: Extensive experience in building applications using these frameworks.
- Microservices: Experience in developing and managing microservices architecture.
- Git: Proficient in using Git for version control.
- JUnit/Integration Tests: Experience in test automation and integration testing.
- RDBMS or NoSQL: Experience in database management and persistence.
- CI/CD Tools: Experience in implementing continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
- Agile/Scrum: Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Scrum practices.
Preferred Skills
- Containerization: Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Reliability Concepts: Knowledge of SLA/Prometheus.
- IT Risk/Security: Familiarity with tools like Checkmarx.
- Frontend Technologies: Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, AngularJS.
- Cloud Platforms: Knowledge of Azure.
About the Team
You will be part of the cockpit squad, a platform team for asset CLO (Commercial Loan Origination). The team comprises DevOps (Development, Operations, and Data) and SRE engineers, working together to provide a resilient and scalable digital platform for our clients.
