Internship Opportunity: Data Scientist at Euronext
About the Role
Euronext is seeking a motivated and talented Data Scientist intern to join our team in Milan. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work within a leading pan-European market infrastructure, where you will engage in day-to-day data analysis and data management activities. You will leverage your analytical and technical skills to innovate, build, and maintain well-managed data solutions and capabilities that address business problems and create meaningful value from data.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Engineering Initiatives: Lead key data engineering initiatives, including end-to-end ownership for designing and deploying Big Data products.
- Data Platform Development: Design, build, and enhance data platforms and applications to support our business needs.
- Real-Time Software Support: Build and support critical real-time software and services that support trading platforms.
- Tool and Framework Innovation: Bring ideas on tools and frameworks used by other firms to help define Euronext's target.
- Task Estimation and Tool Development: Provide accurate task estimates and develop the associated tools.
- Documentation and Training: Produce clear and accurate documentation and train teams to use delivered software.
- Application Design and Architecture: Contribute to the design and architecture of next-generation applications.
- Vendor Interaction: Interact with outsourcing vendors and staff to complete development projects.
- Software Development Life Cycle: Conform to and improve Euronext's Software Development Life Cycle.
Your Profile
- Database Expertise: Expertise in database handling and implementation.
- Cloud Technologies: Expertise in cloud-based technologies.
- ETL Tools: Experience with enterprise edition ETL tools.
- AWS Technologies: Expertise in AWS GLUE and other ETL AWS-based technologies.
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in AWS Lambdas, Java, and Python.
- Big Data Management: Knowledge and ability to plan and execute big data management and analytics.
- Data Analysis: Ability to identify, collect, and analyze data to facilitate the development, implementation, and application of software systems.
