About the Role
Join Corma as a Data Science Intern and help us shape the future by leveraging cutting-edge technology and innovative insights derived from the unique data Corma is working with. Our stack is mainly composed of Python scripts, MySQL Aurora databases on RDS, S3 instances, and cloud functions and schedulers (Lambda & EC2).
Responsibilities
- Data Integration & Transformation: Integrate data from a wide variety of sources, including APIs, external databases, and third-party services. Transform raw data into clean and ready-to-use models for use in Corma (preprocessing, cleaning, and transformation).
- Data Analysis & Modelling: Work on data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning projects. Assist in developing predictive models and algorithms to drive business insights. Implement AI search functionalities in the app to allow users to leverage Corma data.
- Enhanced Data Quality and Data Hygiene: Develop and enforce data hygiene standards and processes to ensure clean and accurate data. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for data processes, architectures, and workflows. Proactively address issues before they impact data availability and quality (monitoring and bug prevention).
- Strategic Insights: Collaborate with the CTO and CEO directly to provide data-driven insights and recommendations for product development and provide more value to our customers.
- Collaboration: Work with a cross-functional team that understands data needs and help deliver actionable insights. Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a concise way.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and AI. Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance your skills.
Preferred Experience
- Pursuing a degree or a recent graduate in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field, with relevant coursework or project experience.
- Proficient in Python or other programming languages commonly used in data science.
- Strong knowledge in SQL to handle large volumes of data.
- Experience in implementing AI projects with NLP is a plus.
- Strong willingness to learn and tackle hands-on technical tasks such as Cloud Infrastructure, CI/CD, Docker.
