Role Overview
As a Senior Data Scientist at Euronext, you will be at the forefront of analyzing complex datasets and developing predictive models that drive strategic decision-making across the company. This role is crucial for enhancing our data-driven culture and ensuring that our data strategies align with our business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage data science projects from concept to deployment.
- Build and maintain the data platform, including the pipeline, documentation, dictionary, and critical support processes.
- Work with large and complex data sets to solve a wide array of challenging problems using different analytical and statistical approaches.
- Develop, test, and implement advanced machine learning models and algorithms.
- Gather, extract, and compile data across sources using tools like SQL, R, and Python.
- Format, re-structure, and validate data to ensure quality.
- Develop data visualizations and socialize dashboards, reports, and other tools to enable self-serve data analysis.
- Mentor other data engineers and promote software craftsmanship within the team.
- Partner with other data scientists across the company to share knowledge and synthesize learnings.
Key Accountabilities
- Own the process of gathering, extracting, and compiling data across sources.
- Independently format, re-structure, and validate data to ensure quality.
- Apply technical expertise with quantitative analysis, experimentation, data mining, and the presentation of data.
- Develop strategies for our products based on data-driven insights.
Skills and Experience Required
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in data science, database administration, or a related field.
- Excellent understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, performance tuning, and database optimization.
- Expertise in data integration techniques, including ETL processes, data pipelines, and data synchronization.
- Strong expertise in machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn.
- Proven hands-on programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Matplotlib.
- Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
