Job Overview
RTL Deutschland is seeking a Lead Fullstack Developer to join our dynamic engineering team in Cologne. As a Lead Fullstack Developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and operating web frontends and mobile apps. You will act as a technical advisor for project setups, define technical requirements, and plan necessary developer roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Implementation: Lead the design and implementation of web frontends and mobile applications.
- Technical Advisory: Provide technical guidance during project setups, defining technical requirements and planning developer roles.
- Application Architecture: Oversee the development of application architectures, considering stakeholder interests.
- Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to develop sustainable software products using existing standards and conventions.
- Architectural Decisions: Make architectural decisions and provide guidelines for developing high-quality software products.
- Tool and Platform Evaluation: Conduct evaluations of tools and platforms, coordinating with enterprise architecture to ensure a cohesive architecture.
- Mentorship: Assist colleagues in developing their technical skills.
Required Skills and Experience
- Programming Languages: Proficient in TypeScript or JavaScript, with experience in frameworks like NestJS or Angular.
- Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- DevOps and Microservices: Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and microservice architectures.
- Leadership: Experience in leading technical teams and coordinating workshops.
- Languages: Fluent in both German and English.
