Principal Frontend Software Engineer
About the Role
Revvity is seeking a Principal Frontend Software Engineer to join our international and diverse R&D Application Software Team in Hamburg. In this role, you will contribute to the development of efficient and reusable web-based UI, collaborate with the UX design team, and provide technical leadership to the UI development team, utilizing modern technologies and tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop Web Applications: Analyze and translate business needs into efficient and reusable web applications, UI components, and elements.
- Project Planning: Contribute to project and release planning in collaboration with management and engineering teams.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership to the international and diverse team of UI developers, ensuring efficient collaboration and communication.
- Software Engineering Processes: Contribute to the continuous improvement of software engineering processes, including automation and standardization of development activities and tools.
- UX Design Collaboration: Work closely with the UX design team, product management, and project stakeholders to participate proactively in the UX design process.
Basic Qualifications
- BS in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or equivalent.
- 7+ years of experience in web-based front-end development.
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
- Knowledge of Scrum-based software development.
- Confident level of English in speaking and writing.
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in web-based front-end development.
- 2+ years of technical team leadership.
- Strong knowledge of OOP and UX/UI design processes, principles, and patterns.
- Expertise in frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue.js, Flutter, and Bootstrap.
- Proven track record in the development of scalable and reliable REST API.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools based on Git and GitHub.
- Experience in UI test automation and knowledge of UI test automation tools and frameworks.
- Knowledge of C# and Python is a plus.
- Experience with high-performance 3D imaging and large image rendering is an advantage.
