Job Overview
We are seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join our agile engineering team in Vienna, Austria. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in migrating and enhancing our tech stack to a microservice architecture with multiple universal front-end applications built on React.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Develop: Work within our frontend guild to design, develop, integrate, deploy, and monitor frontend applications for our kununu.com web platform.
- Feature Implementation: Collaborate with our product and design teams to implement new features.
- Performance Optimization: Focus on optimizing performance across browsers, with a particular emphasis on small screens and mobile-first design.
- Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers to foster their growth.
Required Skills and Experience
- Frontend Development: Several years of practical experience in frontend development, particularly with JavaScript.
- JavaScript Frameworks: Proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks, especially React.
- TypeScript: Familiarity with TypeScript and its benefits is a strong advantage.
- Clean Code: Ability to write clean, modular, and thoroughly unit-tested code.
- Agile Methodologies: Experience with agile methodologies and a team-oriented approach.
- Cloud and Containers: Experience with developing applications inside virtualized containers like Docker and with cloud infrastructures such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English; German is a plus.
