Your Role

As a Senior Backend Software Development Engineer, you will:

• Take full ownership of the technical aspects of our global technology infrastructure, ensuring that the platform is being used to its fullest potential through designing and building applications around our customer’s needs.
• Design, develop, migrate, and maintain a myriad of Merchant - Campaign Manager applications and services for AWS Cloud & Kubernetes environment.
• Collaborate within the team and with other teams in the organization to ensure that required business features, high performance, and cost-effective solutions are implemented effectively.
• Build service artifacts, estimate and plan for deployment, and coordinate timelines and tasks with project management and teams.
• Improve service stability and performance by identifying critical service-specific metrics, setting meaningful alerting thresholds, and automating alerting responses.
• Drive the discussion and decisions on technical topics related to the team’s scope.

What We’re Looking For

• BE/BTech or ME/MTech degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering from a recognized institute.
• 10+ years of industry experience in developing and supporting web applications, microservices, and troubleshooting internal and external requests/bug reports in a distributed environment.
• Strong coding skills in one or more object-oriented programming languages like Java or C++.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging skills, data structure, and algorithms fundamentals.
• Experience with REST API-based development of microservices, relational databases (MySQL or Postgres), ORMs.
• Exposure to asynchronous messaging platforms like ActiveMQ, Kafka is a plus.
• Good communication and collaboration skills and ability to deal with ambiguity.
