We've experienced rapid growth during the pandemic and continue to grow as more companies choose to remain remote or hybrid. We are looking for an exceptionally talented and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our small but mighty team, where your contributions will have a real impact.
Role Overview
In this full-time remote role, you will be an integral part of building the future of digital greeting cards. You’ll build and iterate on new and existing features used by millions of people every month.
Responsibilities
- Maintain our product's core features, the web browser application and its mobile-responsive version, and APIs.
- Collaborate with Product, Sales, Customer Support, and Design teams to implement new features for our card creators, signers, and recipients.
- Design, code, test, and support new features.
- Participate in code reviews and team meetings.
- Review pull requests (PRs).
- Automate processes.
- Assist our Support team in triaging bugs.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience building and scaling web applications.
- 4+ years of experience building and scaling large web APIs.
- Proficiency in Ruby on Rails.
- Strong ability to write clean, high-quality, high-performance, well-tested, maintainable code.
- Grit, motivation, and a strong sense of ownership coupled with collaboration.
- Solid communication skills, both oral and written.
- Knowledge of security as it relates to web applications.
Strong Knowledge In
- MySQL
- Frameworkless JavaScript (we use jQuery)
- HTML/CSS and responsive design
- Advanced Git
