Join Groupon as a Senior Software Development Engineer (Front-End)
Are you a passionate and energetic technology enthusiast eager to work at a rapid pace with the flexibility to work across a broad tech stack? Groupon is looking for a skilled and experienced front-end developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will be responsible for building and extending our suite of client-facing web applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with teams across the organization to ensure that required business features and compliance rules are implemented effectively.
- Manage the full software development lifecycle from technical design to development, testing, and deployment.
- Improve your and the team's skills through knowledge-sharing and hackathons.
- Create and maintain documentation for your projects.
- Mentor junior staff and drive the discussion and decisions of technical topics related to the team.
What We’re Looking For
- BE/BTech or ME/MTech degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ years of industry experience.
- Excellent coding skills, preferably using JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Strong experience using Vue.js/React or similar web development frameworks or libraries.
- Deep knowledge of web technologies such as HTML5, CSS (SCSS, LESS), JSON, and Object-oriented JavaScript.
- Experience with build tools such as Webpack and Vite.
- Rigour in high code quality, automated testing, and other engineering best practices.
- Strong debugging skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
