Senior Contributor Success Fullstack Engineer

GitLab is seeking a Senior Contributor Success Fullstack Engineer to join our team. This role is pivotal in driving GitLab’s contribution efficiency efforts and results, ensuring our community members can contribute effectively to GitLab.

Responsibilities

• Drive Contribution Efficiency: Lead GitLab’s efforts to enhance contribution efficiency and results.
• Project Ownership: Own one or more Engineering Contributor Success project plans.
• Community Coaching: Coach and lead cohorts of community contributors, providing orientation and guidance on both technical and non-technical aspects.
• Contribution Tracking: Track contributions from community contributor cohorts and drive them to completion.
• Metrics Development: Propose efficient metrics for tracking community efficiency.
• Recognition: Nominate impactful community contributors, cohorts, and contributions for recognition.
• MR Coach: Be a permanent member of GitLab MR Coaches, proficient in one or more MR Coach specialties (Development, Test, Documentation, etc.).
• Agile Processes: Drive Contributor Success team stand-up and agile processes.
• Backlog Prioritization: Advocate for the prioritization of improvements backlog based on community feedback.
• Event Participation: Participate in GitLab’s overall Contributor Success events and processes.
• Customer Training: Travel to customers for training purposes.

Requirements

• Self-Motivation: Self-motivated and self-managing, with excellent organizational skills and attention to quality.
• Values Alignment: Share and work in accordance with GitLab's values.
• Technical Proficiency: Fluent in using GitLab, with 5 years or more of experience developing in Ruby and JavaScript.
• Open Source Experience: Extensive experience using Git and source control, with a track record of contributing to well-known Open Source projects.
• Customer Interaction: Proven track record of customer interactions.
• Communication Skills: Proficiency in the English language, with excellent written and oral communication skills.

The base salary range for this role is $117,600 to $180,000 USD, applicable for residents of specific locations. Grade level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data.
