Overview
Join GitLab, the world's largest all-remote company, as a Senior Backend Engineer specializing in Ruby on Rails. This role is crucial for enhancing our DevSecOps platform, which empowers over 100,000 organizations to deliver software efficiently. As part of our Project Management team, you will develop and optimize project management tools that cater to a diverse user base, from engineers to product managers.
What You'll Do
- Develop and Enhance Project Management Tools: Take ownership of specific projects within our Rails-based project management suite to meet the evolving needs of our users.
- Automate and Optimize Workflows: Improve efficiency and effectiveness across teams worldwide through automation.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work with development, operations, and other departments to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Enhance System Security and Stability: Develop tools that safeguard against security threats, ensuring system integrity.
- Documentation and Analysis: Maintain detailed documentation and analyze existing tools to identify improvement areas.
- Support and Troubleshoot: Provide Tier 2 or Tier 3 support, addressing product operations and security issues.
