Senior Full-Stack Developer (Angular, NestJS, TypeScript)

Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer to join our application team at IQVIA, focusing on the CTcue application, known internationally as the Patient Finder Solution (PFS). This role involves working on both the front-end and back-end of our application, which integrates structured and unstructured medical data from various EHRs into a generic data model. This enables users, including medical scientists and clinicians, to find specific patients and structure patient data to improve healthcare outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain features for the CTcue application, improving existing functionality and resolving bugs.
• Collaborate with other developers to enhance code quality, including expanding test coverage.
• Contribute to documentation covering processes, code, development workflows, and ongoing projects.
• Review pull requests from colleagues and provide constructive feedback.
• Refine JIRA tickets from a technical perspective.
• Investigate and resolve issues escalated by the support team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional application development experience.
• Proficiency in strongly typed languages, with TypeScript experience preferred.
• Experience with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with single-page application frameworks, especially Angular.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team of 4 or more developers, providing and receiving constructive criticism.
• Based in Europe (no visa sponsorship available).

Nice to Have

• Experience with document-oriented databases, such as Elasticsearch.
• System administration or DevOps experience, particularly with Unix/Linux.
• Experience leading technical projects and mentoring junior colleagues.
• Affinity with the medical domain.
• Based in the Netherlands for occasional office visits and team activities.

Our team consists of a product owner, designer, three developers (including two seniors and one lead), and two testers. We are part of a larger EMEA team within IQVIA, a leading global provider of clinical research services and healthcare intelligence. We work in 2-week sprints using Agile methodology, with the flexibility to choose between office, home, or hybrid work locations. We organize at least one team day in the office each month for socializing with colleagues.
