Mediahuis is seeking a talented Senior Back-End JavaScript Developer to join our Data Tracking team. This team is dedicated to building data products, providing insightful analysis, and delivering actionable insights to support our editors, marketing, and sales teams. As a key member of this team, you will play a crucial role in achieving our mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain back-end services using JavaScript, with a focus on TypeScript and Node.js.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement CI/CD pipelines.
- Optimize and simplify existing codebases, ensuring high performance and scalability.
- Monitor critical metrics such as file size, number of requests, and compression.
- Implement quality assurance and test-driven development practices.
- Utilize Kubernetes and Microsoft Azure services to enhance our infrastructure.
What We Are Looking For
- At least 3 years of experience in JavaScript development, particularly in back-end environments.
- Proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js.
- Familiarity with Git and CI/CD workflows.
- Experience with large codebases and performance optimization.
- Knowledge of quality assurance and test-driven development; experience with NestJS is a plus.
- Ability to work in Belgium without sponsorship.
- Strong communication skills and fluency in Dutch and English.
