About the Role
As a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Veritone, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing innovative features for our Public Sector applications. These applications run on aiWARE, the world’s first operating system for artificial intelligence. You will work with a variety of programming languages, primarily focusing on TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Implement Services: Develop services using TypeScript, React, and Node.js to build UI solutions that are maintainable, cost-effective, and responsive.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with product, design, and infrastructure teams to enhance applications and services.
- Ensure Reliability: Partner with operations and infrastructure to build, scale, and monitor services and applications.
- Code Development: Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain software code for high-performance business applications.
- Optimize Code: Analyze and optimize both User Interface and Backend Application code for efficiency.
- Mentor Junior Engineers: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers to foster their growth and development.
Required Skills and Experience
- Professional Experience: At least 2+ years of experience in building high-performance, reliable systems in a complex, multi-tiered, distributed environment.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React/Redux, and Node.js. Familiarity with GraphQL, ElasticSearch, and Docker/Kubernetes.
- Debugging and Performance: Strong debugging skills and experience with JavaScript performance in Node/Chrome.
- Continuous Learning: A curious mindset with a passion for continuous learning and improvement.
Bonus Points
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- AI Enthusiasm: Experience or interest in working on the next generation of Artificial Intelligence applications.
