Role Overview

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Vizcom, you will be a key individual contributor driving our product development. You will design, implement, and maintain both frontend and backend systems, ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to all layers of our technology stack, and help guide the direction of our platform, ensuring it can scale with our growing user base.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and efficient systems using TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL, and GraphQL.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality software that meets user needs.
Write clean and maintainable code, following best practices and ensuring ease of future maintenance.
Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, continuously learning and applying new skills to improve our products.

Qualifications

Extensive experience in full-stack development, particularly in high-growth, high-velocity product development environments.
Proficiency in TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL, and GraphQL.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude towards collaboration and continuous improvement.
Experience in planning, executing, and celebrating team successes.
Familiarity with working remotely and in a startup environment, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.

Our Tech Stack

TypeScript: Used throughout our stack, with types generated from our SQL database and GraphQL API.
Backend: Node.js, PostGraphile, GraphQL.
Frontend: React, and an internal lightweight UI library.
Database: Extensive use of PostgreSQL (RLS, functions, etc.), Redis.
DevOps: Infrastructure as code with Pulumi, CI/CD with GitHub Actions, multiple deployments per day, multi-cloud and bare-metal Kubernetes cluster.

Compensation

The base pay range targeted for this position is $150,000 - $180,000 per year. This role is eligible for equity. The actual offer, including the compensation package, is determined based on multiple factors, including experience, location, and other business considerations.
