About the Role
As a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer on the GenAI Horizontal Task Tooling team at Scale AI, you will play a pivotal role in building web-based applications that enable our contributors to annotate high-quality data for language model training and evaluation. This position is based in New York, United States, and offers a hybrid work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Own Large Areas of Our Product: You will be responsible for building features end-to-end, including front-end, back-end, system design, debugging, and testing.
- Deliver High-Quality Experiments: Work at a high velocity to deliver experiments that engage our customers and meet our quality standards.
- Product Lifecycle Management: Participate in the entire product lifecycle from conceptualization through production.
- Cultural Influence: Help shape the culture, values, and processes of our growing engineering team.
- Mentorship: Inspire and mentor less experienced engineers.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new product features and experiences.
Requirements
- Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience is preferred.
- Track Record: Proven ability to ship high-quality products and features at scale.
- Fast-Paced Environment: Desire to work in a very fast-paced environment.
- Problem Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Location: Excited to join a dynamic, hybrid team in either San Francisco or New York City.
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation packages at Scale for eligible roles include base salary, equity, and benefits. The salary range for this full-time position in New York is $188,000—$225,600 USD. In addition to salary, you will receive equity-based compensation, subject to Board of Director approval. Benefits include comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage, retirement benefits, a learning and development stipend, generous PTO, and potentially a commuter stipend.
