About the Role
As a Senior Software Engineer at Scale AI, you will be a pivotal part of the GenAI Safety & Evaluation product team. This role involves building a customer-facing model evaluation platform that enables users to launch new evaluation workflows, analyze results, and use insights to drive model development. You will work closely with researchers and other engineering teams to productize novel research and ensure the safety and effectiveness of AI models.
Responsibilities
- Own large new areas within our product, delivering customer-ready features with engineering excellence.
- Work across backend, frontend, and interacting with LLMs and other ML models.
- Manage the entire product lifecycle from conceptualization through production.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Address high-value customer requests promptly.
Requirements
- 5+ years of full-time engineering experience post-graduation.
- Proficiency in Python, Node, React, Next.js, and MongoDB.
- Strong background in algorithms, data structures, and OOP.
- Experience scaling products in hyper-growth environments.
- Passion for AI technologies and working with generative models and LLMs.

- Experience with AI platforms and technologies.
- Experience building ML infrastructure and AI-powered solutions.
- Experience growing new products from 0 to 1.

This role is based in the San Francisco Bay Area and offers a hybrid work model. The salary range for this position is $160,000 — $225,000 USD, depending on experience and location. Equity compensation is also available.
