Diligent is seeking a talented and driven Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our growing team. This exciting role involves developing, deploying, scaling, and monitoring machine learning models and LLM-based systems as part of Diligent’s AI platform services to accelerate AI adoption across our diverse product suite.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and Develop: Create, deploy, monitor, scale, and troubleshoot machine learning models and LLM-based systems for various applications.
• Collaboration: Work closely with applied scientists and software engineers to implement and productize AI-based capabilities.
• AI Libraries and Frameworks: Design and develop AI libraries and frameworks to help accelerate value delivery across AI platform services.
• Semantic Search and Retrieval: Develop, test, and deploy semantic search, structured retrieval, and RAG use cases across various Diligent products.
• Model Implementation: Utilize LLMs, knowledge graphs, traditional NLP methods, and custom models to provide document set comprehension capabilities and facilitate insight extraction.
• Infrastructure: Implement and fine-tune models using Python and PyTorch, leveraging AWS infrastructure.
• Documentation: Document and communicate your approach, progress, and results to the broader team.

Basic Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python, NumPy, scikit-learn, Pandas, NLTK, spaCy, PyTorch, or similar.
• Experience in building ML/AI pipelines and relevant tools such as MLFlow, AWS SageMaker, or similar.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code practices in Azure, GCP, AWS, or similar.
• Foundational knowledge in NLP and machine learning.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with LLMs including prompt engineering, fine-tuning, model evaluation, and building RAG-based functionality.
• Experience with semantic search and information retrieval systems.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics, or a related field. Master’s or PhD a plus.

Experience Level

• Senior Machine Learning Engineer: 5+ years of relevant experience.
