KPMG Hungary is seeking a talented Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our dynamic team in Budapest. Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Designing and implementing software solutions that incorporate various types of machine learning models.
• Integrating Natural Language Processing (NLP) models into corporate applications and experimenting with business-related uses of Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Collaborating closely with developers, project managers, data scientists, and stakeholders to ensure our products meet client needs.
• Leading the completion of machine learning projects with an end-to-end product-oriented mindset.
• Communicating openly with clients to understand their business goals and translating them into technical specifications.
• Working with cross-functional teams to incorporate AI/ML solutions into products and applications.
• Encouraging a culture of ongoing learning and creativity within the team by providing mentorship and thought leadership.
• Staying updated with developments in AI/ML and software development trends to ensure our solutions remain state-of-the-art.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in Data Science or related fields.
• Strong proficiency in Python and familiarity with software development methods and version control tools such as Git.
• Experience with deep learning models and related Python packages, such as transformers or PyTorch.
• Knowledge of at least one cloud platform (Microsoft Azure, GCP, or AWS).
• Experience with ML lifecycle management and deploying models into production environments (e.g., MLFlow).
• Experience with web frameworks (e.g., FastAPI, Flask).
• Fluent in English and Hungarian, with excellent communication skills and comfort in client-facing roles.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Azure and its ML capabilities.
• Experience in developing NLP models.
• Hands-on experience with generative AI models, notably large language models, and the ability to differentiate between the need for an LLM or a more traditional model as a solution.
