The Role:
As a Senior Security Architect at Aiven, you will be a pivotal part of our Security organization, tasked with designing and implementing robust security solutions to safeguard our platform and services. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the security, integrity, and availability of our platform.
Responsibilities:
- Design and aid in the implementation of security controls and guardrails in our cloud-based platforms and services.
- Review designs of new products and features at regular architectural review meetings in collaboration with engineering and architecture teams.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to design and implement security best practices and projects.
- Design and aid in the implementation of customer-facing security features and information sources.
- Stay abreast of the latest security threats, technologies, and research as it applies to Aiven’s products and services.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with Python and SQL.
- Experience with other programming languages is a plus.
- Experience building or reviewing threat models.
- Experience in multifaceted cloud-based environments including multiple cloud hyperscaler providers, with experience in multiple deployment and platform scenarios.
- Strong knowledge of database and runtime security principles, controls, and environments and the relevant threats they face.
- 5+ years of security architecture and/or product security experience.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven technical leadership skills.
