About the Role

Agoda is seeking a highly skilled Staff/Lead Application Security Engineer to join our dynamic security team. This role is based in Bangkok, Thailand, with relocation assistance provided. You will be part of a fast-paced DevSecOps environment where security is integrated into the continuous deployment and integration flow.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and Design Security Controls: Lead the development and design of application-level security controls and standards.
• Security Design Reviews: Conduct application security design reviews for new products and services.
• Security Issue Management: Track and prioritize all security issues, ensuring timely resolution.
• Build Security Tools: Develop internal security tools to address security problems at scale.
• Code Review and Remediation: Perform code reviews and drive the remediation of discovered security issues.
• Automated Security Testing: Enable automated security testing at scale to measure vulnerabilities and report on risks across all platforms.
• Security Testing Execution: Execute security tests on thousands of servers across on-premise and public cloud data centers.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

• Technical Experience: At least 7 years of experience in software engineering, with expertise in threat modeling, secure coding, identity management, authentication, cryptography, system administration, and network security.
• Software Development Life Cycle: Minimum 2 years of experience with SDLC in languages such as Rust, Python, Go, Node.js, etc.
• Cloud Environments: At least 1 year of experience with public/private cloud environments like Openshift, Rancher, K8s, AWS, GCP, Azure.
• OWASP Standards: Experience with OWASP MASVS and ASVS assessments.
• Vulnerability Management: Strong knowledge of common web application vulnerabilities and experience with automated dynamic scanners, fuzzers, and proxy tools.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
