Senior JavaScript Developer

About the Role

As a Senior JavaScript Developer at Ciklum, you will join a cross-functional development team dedicated to engineering the experiences of tomorrow. You will work for a client focused on ensuring safety for people and society, emphasizing it as a fundamental human right. The client specializes in secure and integrated communication solutions across various sectors including Military, Naval Operations, Cyber Security, and Air Traffic Control.

Responsibilities

• Front-End development to meet business needs.
• Design and implement complex web applications using established approaches and best practices.
• Improve existing engineering and quality standards in the team and help other team members adopt them.
• Develop and review feature design documents and provide inputs/update to specifications for the solution.
• Participate in team activities according to the delivery methodology (e.g., daily meetings, planning, retrospectives).
• Communicate with Technical Lead, Architects, QAs, developers, and other colleagues and stakeholders.
• Deliver the product roadmap and plannings.
• Use high coding standards, software best practices and write highly testable, automatable and performant code over the whole SDLC.
• Coach/supervise middle/junior engineers by demand of the project.

Requirements

• Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Practical use of advanced features in Electron JS framework.
• Experience with open-source JS components.
• Good knowledge in Computer Science and Computing Theory (OOP, paradigm and principles, design patterns), network interactions conventions and protocols.
• Experience with Git (Bitbucket will be a plus).
• Experience in refactoring existing applications according to new requirements, troubleshooting, profiling and debugging of web-applications.
• Experience in designing of Front-End web-application for complex features and creating technical documentation.
• Hands-on experience with testing approaches and tools.
• Previous participation in constant application quality improvements: conducting code reviews, using and analysing code quality metrics, and monitoring.
• Experience with code inspection tools (SonarQube will be a plus).
• Understanding of CI/CD process.
• Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration and Deployment tools (TeamCity will be a plus).
• Collaborates with the DevOps team to set up the custom CI/CD pipeline.
