Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our team in building the world’s best experts platform. This platform uses human knowledge to align advanced AI systems. As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for hiring, training, and managing a high-performing engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit and Manage a High-Performing Team: Build and lead a team of researchers and engineers focused on Generative AI projects.
- Drive Engineering Productivity: Enhance the productivity of your team through effective management and leadership.
- Provide Technical Leadership: Offer guidance and mentorship to your team, ensuring the successful execution of projects.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with other departments to define, design, and execute strategic roadmaps.
- Engage with Customers: Depending on your function, collaborate with some of the most sophisticated ML organizations globally to build products and platforms that meet their research goals.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of full-time engineering experience, with at least 1 year in an engineering management role.
- Technical Expertise: Extensive experience in software development and a strong track record as an individual contributor.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to mentor and lead teams in successful projects.
- Communication Skills: Excellent ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- AI Enthusiasm: Excitement to work with AI technologies and platforms.
Nice to Have
- Deep technical knowledge of software development.
- Experience with AI platforms and technologies, including generative models and LLMs.
Location
This role requires the ability to commute to our San Francisco or NYC office three times a week.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary Range: $212,000—$254,400 USD annually.
- Equity: Eligible roles include equity-based compensation.
