Job Overview
We are seeking a Senior/Staff FullStack Software Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team in Seattle. This role is pivotal in developing and maintaining our cutting-edge internal tools and applications that support both our internal operations and external customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Data-Driven Development: Engage in strategic planning and contribute to a data-centric development team.
- Agile Methodologies: Implement and test software using agile methodologies to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with a collaborative team to enhance and support technology solutions.
- Code Contribution: Write, debug, maintain, and test code for diverse projects, ensuring robust and scalable solutions.
- Architectural Design: Design scalable systems with a focus on architecture, ensuring long-lasting and efficient solutions.
- Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, driving innovation within the team.
- Full-Stack Development: Develop and maintain both the frontend and backend components of our applications.
Team Focus
The Otter Engineering team is dedicated to building products for our internal ops users across sales, onboarding, customer success, and external customers. Our mission is to offer the best experience for our customers to discover and onboard onto the Otter product suite.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 6+ years of industry software engineering experience, with a strong track record of developing and shipping applications using JavaScript or TypeScript for front-end development and Java/Go for back-end development.
- Skills: Strong ability to design and create long-lasting architecture from scratch and evolve existing systems. Excellent communication and presentation skills.

This role is based in our Seattle office location. We believe in the power of in-person collaboration to drive innovation and success. All teams, except for field-based roles, work from our office locations 5 days a week.
