Job Description
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Software Development Engineer Intern to join the Machine Learning Chip Architecture team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology and contribute to the development of state-of-the-art solutions in machine learning and computer architecture.
Key Responsibilities
- Accelerate large-scale machine learning workloads across algorithms, software, and hardware.
- Serve as the interface between software and hardware teams, bridging the gap between silicon capabilities and application requirements.
- Drive performance improvements on existing AWS hardware platforms and propose, evaluate, and develop hardware optimizations for future products.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Knowledge of computer science fundamentals such as object-oriented design, operating systems, algorithms, data structures, and complexity analysis.
- Experience with at least one modern programming language such as Java, Python, C++, or C#.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with distributed, multi-tiered systems, algorithms, and relational databases.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as C/C++, Python, Java, or Perl.
- Experience in optimization mathematics such as linear programming and nonlinear optimization.
