Key Responsibilities

• Tool and Application Development: Create, improve, or invent tools and applications that are part of larger systems.
• Product and Service Operations: Build and operate supportable products or services, making significant technical contributions.
• Code Development: Write secure, stable, testable, and maintainable code with minimal defects.
• Technology Integration: Understand a variety of technologies such as hardware, software, networking, and operating systems, and how they interact.
• System and Process Building: Develop systems and processes that enhance safety, agility, and automation for other builders.
• Business and Technology Learning: Seek to understand the business context and technologies behind your team’s system implementations.

A Day in the Life

During your internship, you will engage in hands-on learning and building experiences. You will work on impactful projects, engage with Amazon employees for personal and professional development, expand your network, and participate in fun activities with other interns. Regardless of your internship location, you will have the tools to own your internship and learn in a real-world setting.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week and commit to a 12-week internship.
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in computer science, computer engineering, systems engineering, electrical engineering, or a related discipline, with an expected graduation date between October 2025 and December 2028.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with open-source technologies like Linux, Spring, or React.
• Experience with distributed computing, programs, and systems.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix and automating team development, test, and operations processes.
• Understanding of TCP/ICP networking fundamentals and IP protocols such as DNS, DHCP, NTP, SMTP, and SNMP.
• Strong object-oriented design and coding skills on Unix-like operating systems.
• Excellent documentation and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Compensation

The base pay for this position ranges from $42.88/hr in our lowest geographic market up to $97.45/hr in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon offers a total compensation package, which may include equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
