Job Description
Join Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Software Development Engineer in the AWS Compute Services team, located in Austin, Texas. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge serverless computing technologies that are transforming the way applications are built and deployed in the cloud.
Responsibilities
As a Software Development Engineer, you will:
- Collaborate with a team to build a new generic platform using the latest AWS technologies.
- Solve complex technical challenges with innovative solutions in the domain of event-driven applications and serverless technologies.
- Develop features for distributed, large-scale systems capable of handling billions or trillions of transactions.
- Contribute to reshaping the experience of serverless development.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of experience in design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Compensation
The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year to $223,600/year, depending on market location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. AWS is a total compensation company, offering equity, sign-on payments, and a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
