Job Overview
Mill is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our dynamic marketing team. Our mission is to reduce waste and create a sustainable environment, starting with food waste. As part of our growth team, you will be instrumental in developing scalable software solutions that enhance our marketing efforts and expand our community of environmentally-conscious customers.
Responsibilities
- Build Growth Infrastructure: Develop foundational infrastructure for running experiments, tracking user behavior, and engaging users effectively.
- Front-End Development: Transform designs into responsive, robust HTML and CSS, ensuring they align with the original design specifications.
- Code Implementation: Write well-tested front-end code with a focus on performance, scalability, and SEO best practices.
- Project Management: Work independently in a fast-paced start-up environment, managing projects and using metrics to inform decisions.
- Automation and Tools: Identify opportunities for internal automation and deliver user-friendly, reliable solutions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with UX designers, product managers, and third-party engineering contractors to deliver clear specifications and manage execution.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: B.S. in Computer Science or a related field with a strong understanding of core CS concepts such as data structures and algorithms.
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in software development, focusing on UI and front-end development.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and a modern UI framework such as Svelte.js, Vue.js, or React.
- Server-Side Functions: Experience with Lambdas or similar server-side functions.
- Marketing Technology: Familiarity with marketing and advertising technology stacks, including Segment and Google Tag Manager.
- Testing and Documentation: Strong affinity for testing and documentation.

This position is based in San Bruno, California and requires on-site work.
Salary
The estimated base salary range for this position is €138,000 to €180,000 per year, excluding benefits and potential equity grants. Compensation is determined based on skill sets, experience, and market conditions.
