Internship Overview
We are seeking talented software engineering interns to join our Frontend Engineering team for the summer of 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a startup culture, where you will collaborate with teammates to launch products used by customers worldwide. As an intern, you will have the chance to work across the full software stack and contribute to the development of Verkada’s flagship software.
Responsibilities
- Build best-in-class product experiences across our Command web platform (React) and mobile applications (React Native).
- Lead projects from design to implementation, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering teams to create features that delight users and customers.
Requirements
- Ability to work in person at Verkada HQ in San Mateo, CA.
- Pursuing a BS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Previous internship experience in developing and launching products.
- Experience building reusable components and pixel-perfect user interfaces using CSS pre-processors.
- Proficient in JavaScript or TypeScript, including understanding of contexts, prototypes/classes, and closures.
- Experience with modern web frameworks such as Angular.js, React, or Vue.
- Strong eye for design, product details, and polish.
Compensation
- Estimated hourly pay range: $55—$65 USD.
