About the Role
Join the Product UX & Tooling team within the Future Technology Group at Sony Interactive Entertainment as a Software Engineering Intern. This team is pivotal in supporting PlayStation's cloud gaming innovation by developing essential software tools that enhance team efficiency and user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop Internal Web Applications: Learn and contribute to the development of internal web applications at PlayStation, focusing on tools that support cloud gaming products.
- Create SDK Components: Work on creating components for a software development kit (SDK) for single-page applications using JavaScript.
- Build Web Applications: Develop web applications for internal clients, ensuring they meet UX and accessibility standards.
What We’re Looking For
- Educational Background: Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, with an expected graduation by Spring 2026.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of front-end web technologies, including JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS. Experience with single-page application frameworks like Angular, React, or Vue is preferred.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills. A keen interest in learning and understanding complex systems and technology stacks.
Eligibility
- Internship Period: Must be available to work during one of the following periods: May 19th - August 8th or June 16th - September 5th.
- Availability: Must be available for the entire 12-week internship period.
- Visa Requirements: Open to U.S. citizens or international students with an F-1 visa.
Compensation
- Hourly Rate: The internship offers a fixed hourly pay rate of $45.75.
