About The Role
This is a pioneering opportunity to guide the development of cutting-edge computational design solutions at the intersection of architecture, real estate, and AEC. We are pushing the boundaries of what is possible in a rapidly evolving field, working with customers to solve real-world problems with state-of-the-art AI.
As our Systems Engineer, you'll spearhead the system design strategy and evaluation of impactful computational workflows. You'll be the key liaison between external partners in the real-estate and AEC industries, as well as the various internal teams that need streamlined information from the market to iterate rapidly.
You’ll be working internally with an interdisciplinary group of brilliant people, and will help leverage and expand our advanced tools, powered by cutting-edge algorithms and data analysis, to tackle real-world design and construction challenges.
How You'll Make 10x Impact
- Be a key point of contact between product teams, AI/ML teams, and go-to-market teams
- Help design processes and internal tools for the team that advance the state of the art in computational design
- Identify opportunities to advance architectural, real estate, and construction practices through computational approaches
- Guide and collaborate with fellow architects, engineers, and developers, translating design intent into impactful solutions.
- Conduct research and keep the team informed and at the forefront of computational design trends, exploring and integrating new technologies to enhance our toolkit.
What You Should Have
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in computational design, with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in relevant tools and methodologies, including Revit and Grasshopper.
- Deep understanding of architectural design principles, construction methods, and real estate development processes.
- Proven ability to translate complex challenges into innovative computational solutions.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, adept at bridging the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Passion for innovation and a desire to push the boundaries of what's possible in design and construction.
It'd Be Great If You Also Had These
- Experience leading and managing design teams
- Expertise in parametric design
- Software development or coding experience (python preferred)
- Previous startup experience (i.e. you know how to build, test and learn quickly)
- Experience with integrating risk resilience or sustainability into building designs
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $121,000 - $185,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
