X, the moonshot factory, is seeking an Early Stage Moonshot Engineer to join our team in Mountain View, CA. This role is perfect for someone passionate about using their skills in computer science and data analytics to tackle the world's most intractable problems with a 10x impact approach.

The Team
You will be part of an early stage team with a growing, interdisciplinary portfolio. Our team makes early contact with the real world through both internal and external partnerships to prove our path to the moon.
The Role
As an Early Stage Moonshot Engineer, you will:
- Help projects run better experiments faster.
- Co-found projects and provide technical leadership.
- Execute experiments and provide advisory support.
- Rapidly iterate through a set of prototypes to evaluate possible technology directions.
- Work cross-functionally with experts at X and Google to apply, modify, and develop new algorithms and software tools as project demands.
What You Should Have
- Experience as a fast learner and a code writing machine (preferably in multiple programming languages).
- Experience with data analytics / ML modeling.
- Solid software engineering skills.
- BS/MS in Computer Science, or equivalent field.
It’d Be Great If You Also Had
- Familiarity with data analytics / ML modeling.
- Applied machine learning experiences with sequence/graph prediction and reinforcement learning.
- Aptitude in TensorFlow.
- Experience working in a startup environment.
