Join BrainRocket as a Team Lead Back-end Developer with Node.js
BrainRocket, a fast-growing IT company based in Cyprus, is seeking an experienced Team Lead Back-end Developer with Node.js to join our development team in Lisbon, Portugal. We are a team of over 700 IT professionals delivering cutting-edge products across 20 different markets.
Responsibilities
As a Team Lead, you will:
- Be transparent with the team about challenges, failures, and successes.
- Hire and train technical personnel.
- Determine project requirements and develop work schedules for the team.
- Delegate tasks and achieve daily, weekly, and monthly goals.
- Liaise with team members and management to ensure projects are completed to standard.
- Motivate staff and create a space where they can ask questions and voice their concerns.
- Collaborate with your team to identify and fix technical problems.
As a Developer, you will:
- Engage in in-house platform development.
- Integrate 3rd party APIs.
- Actively participate in developing new features from scratch.
Requirements
- At least 8+ years of experience in web development, with 3+ years in leadership roles.
- Excellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and ECMAScript 6 standards.
- 3+ years of commercial experience with Node.js.
- Experience with databases, particularly MySQL.
- Experience with RabbitMQ and Redis.
- Experience implementing REST and WebSockets.
- Familiarity with GIT version control system.
- At least an upper-intermediate level of English.
Nice to Have
- Experience with TypeScript.
