Position Overview
Critical TechWorks is seeking a Senior Node.js Developer to join our innovative team in Lisbon. This role is pivotal in developing cutting-edge software systems for the BMW Group’s future driving machines. As a Senior Node.js Developer, you will be at the forefront of creating robust backend architectures and frameworks that power the next generation of infotainment and connected car applications.
Responsibilities
- Next-Gen Development: Harness the power of Node.js to develop robust backend solutions that fuel advanced infotainment and connected car applications.
- Creative API Crafting: Design and implement APIs that ensure a seamless development experience for third-party creators.
- Tech Stack Mastery: Work with a diverse stack including JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL, NoSQL databases, and a microservices-driven cloud architecture.
- Elevate Infotainment: Enhance the frameworks behind BMW's cutting-edge infotainment systems.
- API Engineering: Build and refine APIs that serve as the backbone of BMW's connected vehicle ecosystem, focusing on scalability and developer experience.
Skills and Qualifications
- Solid Node.js Experience: Extensive experience developing backend solutions using Node.js.
- Full Stack Versatility: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript. Familiarity with Angular, React, or Vue.js is a plus.
- Cloud and Containers: Experienced with AWS, and technologies like Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- DevOps and CI/CD: Familiar with DevOps culture and CI/CD tools and methodologies.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze and improve app performance and resource utilization across the full stack.
Additional Requirements
- Agile Methodology: Embrace agile and its implementation frameworks like Scrum.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work as a cross-functional team member, developing new skills and covering the entire product lifecycle.
- Communication Skills: Excellent English oral and written skills. German communication skills are a plus.
- Travel: Availability to travel abroad for short periods as required.
