Position Summary
As an AI Backend Engineer II at Pax8, you will be at the forefront of developing cutting-edge AI technologies. This role is crucial for driving innovation and enhancing our capabilities across various applications. You will work closely with a dynamic team to pioneer AI infrastructure using advanced tools like OpenAI, vector databases, and generative AI.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop new AI tools and applications using Python and JVM languages (Java, Kotlin).
- Construct and refine language models using vector databases.
- Collaborate with business teams to implement AI solutions and participate in prompt engineering.
- Explore greenfield projects and help architect AI systems.
- Utilize infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform in a cloud environment (Azure, AWS).
Ideal Candidate
- Strong background in backend development and AI.
- Proficient in Python and JVM languages.
- Experienced in microservices and data-heavy application development.
- Familiar with AWS or Microsoft Azure and Terraform.
