Position Summary
As a Senior AI Backend Engineer at Pax8, you will be at the forefront of developing cutting-edge AI technologies. This role is crucial for pioneering AI infrastructure, leveraging tools like OpenAI, vector databases, and generative AI to create impactful solutions. Your primary responsibilities will include building and refining AI tools and applications, developing microservices, and constructing language models using vector databases.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software.
- Participate in team meetings including grooming sessions, project planning, and other aspects of the agile development lifecycle.
- Help level up the team through mentorship and design techniques.
- Participate in on-call rotations.
Ideal Skills and Experience
- At least five to eight years of relevant software development experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Java, Kotlin, or Python.
- Experience with microservices and data-heavy application development.
- Familiarity with AWS or Microsoft Azure and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Education & Certifications
- B.A./B.S. in a related field or equivalent work experience.
Compensation
Qualified candidates can expect a salary beginning at $135,000 or more depending on experience.
