Job Overview
As a Backend Developer Intern at Digital Factory, you will have the unique opportunity to work alongside experienced developers on projects that are central to our operations. This unpaid internship will allow you to gain hands-on experience in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable backend solutions that are crucial for our applications and services.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior developers to design and implement backend services and APIs.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using various programming languages.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Work with both SQL and NoSQL databases to effectively store and retrieve data.
- Implement best practices and security protocols to ensure the security and integrity of backend systems.
- Optimize backend performance for speed and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues to maintain system stability.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to contribute innovative ideas.
Desired Skills and Qualifications
- Strong understanding of backend development concepts, data structures, and algorithms.
- Proficiency in at least one backend programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Node.js).
- Familiarity with web frameworks (e.g., Flask, Django, Spring Boot) and RESTful APIs.
- Knowledge of database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.
- Basic understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaboration tools (e.g., GitHub).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Education and Experience
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Preferred experience with cloud platforms and microservices architecture.
