Core Software Engineer (Remote)
nLinePosition Overview
nLine is seeking a full-time Core Software Engineer to join its small but growing team. This role involves architecting and implementing systems that enable our software to be deployed easily, reliably, and at scale. You will interact with all parts of nLine’s software system, from backend tools for deploying and managing sensors to data analysis pipelines extracting insights from raw sensor data, and customer-facing frontend visualization and notification systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement systems for scalable software deployment
- Work collaboratively with other engineers on the team
- Contribute to future hiring and ongoing research
- Participate in public presentations to customers and professional organizations
Qualifications
- Strong coding skills in Python and familiarity with other programming languages
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, Terraform, PostgreSQL/TimescaleDB, Apache Spark, Databricks, or React Native
- Strong command line interfaces, version control, testing, and CI/CD practices knowledge
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
