The Role
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our AI team. This team focuses on providing the building blocks on n8n to create reliable AI applications, such as AI agents and assistants. This role is crucial to our strategy as we see significant growth in this area.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable backend systems capable of handling large volumes of data.
- Implement Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) concepts.
- Consume RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
- Design relational databases and write SQL queries (SQLite, PostgreSQL).
- Collaborate with the team to tackle complex problems and innovate solutions.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript with at least 6 years of experience.
- Experience in a startup environment or with cutting-edge tech products.
- Passion for the AI space and experience building applications utilizing AI is a plus.
- Interest in automation and open source.
- Familiarity with cloud computing (Docker, Kubernetes) and DevOps is beneficial.

Location
This role is remote and can be performed from anywhere within Europe. We can sponsor visas to Germany; for other countries, you need existing work rights. Our company language is English.
